Stopford Partner, Clean Planet Energy, establishes joint venture across North America with FTAI

Clean Planet Energy (CPE) has announced a joint venture partnership with USA infrastructure fund Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure (FTAI) to develop waste plastic recycling and fuel production facilities across North America.

Stopford provide OE & EPCM services for CPE’s ecoPlants; development of the first facility at Repauno Port and Rail Terminal in Gibbstown, New Jersey is underway. The plant is planned to initially process 20 thousand tons of waste plastics each year.

In addition, the newly formed Clean Planet USA business development team is advancing multiple additional projects with agreements in place for plastic waste supply in Alabama, Texas, Florida, the Dominican Republic, and other North American markets.

Stopford are pleased to support CPE in this exciting new venture, providing the engineering to bring their ecoPlants to life.
