We are pleased to have supported the Strathclyde-ECITB pilots for the ‘Energy Transition Leadership CPD Programme’ (ETLP). Our engineers and consultants joined the ‘Global Energy Markets, Energy Transition Barriers and Readiness’ modules.
Stopford’s Consultancy Director Deb Pal is actively involved with the ECITBs energy transition initiatives focusing on the hydrogen economy.
We have been working in collaboration with Carol Sinclair, ECITB's Net Zero project manager with support from Kessington Onalo on secondment from industry, in the role of technical net zero advisor. The team developed a hydrogen skills map, to visualise the skills needed across the hydrogen value chain and on a project life cycle basis. The mapping exercise was informed by the outputs of hydrogen value workshops and Deb’s industry experience.
The ECITB is supporting industry in transition, responding to the skills requirements of the future. It launched its net zero podcast, COLLABOR8 in February this year. Deb was delighted to participate in the Hydrogen and Energy Transition episode.
The episode features insights from Deb and Caragh McWhirr of Exodus, discussing the expanding hydrogen economy and its role in delivering a sustainable future, in the context of the Engineering Construction Industry and the implications for skills demand for the current and future workforce.
