Nutragy - Innovation in Farming

Stopford’s Director of Technology & Innovation, Dr. Ben Herbert, gave a presentation on our Nutragy technology at Lancaster University’s recent Farming Innovation Forum.

Attended by farmers, researchers, regulators and businesses, the forum sought to showcase research and innovation that can help address the challenges of declining farming yields and climate instability.

With farmers challenged to increase productivity whilst reducing the carbon intensity of food production, Dr. Herbert explained how Stopford’s Nutragy technology can be used as a sustainable alternative to made/mineral based fertilisers, whilst delivering cost savings and environmental benefit.

Nutragy crop efficacy data from recent glasshouse and field trials was also presented by Dr. Vasileios Giannakopoulos, from Lancaster University, demonstrating enhanced performance compared to that of made/mineral fertilisers across a number of crop types (Wheat, Oats, Oil Seed Rape, Potatoes, Lettuce).
