Future Farming & Nutragy

Stopford’s Director of Technology & Innovation, Dr. Ben Herbert, gave a presentation on our Nutragy technology at Lancaster University’s recent Farming Innovation Forum.

Attended by farmers, researchers and businesses, the forum sought to showcase research and innovation that can help address some of the biggest challenges facing the UK farming community, spanning from climate change to fertiliser price security.

With farmers challenged to increase productivity whilst reducing environmental impacts, Dr. Herbert explained how Stopford’s Nutragy technology can be used as a sustainable alternative to mineral based fertilisers, whilst delivering both cost and carbon savings to agriculture.

Nutragy crop efficacy data was also presented by Dr. Vasileios Giannakopoulos, from Lancaster University, demonstrating performance akin to that of mineral fertilisers across a number of cereal crop types.
