Following a feasibility study for a bulk liquids terminal at a Romanian port, Stopford was commissioned to complete the next stage FEED study. A team comprising process engineers, civil & structural engineers and a project manager conducted this study to establish storage requirements, site requirements, equipment requirements, tank size selection, control philosophy and required infrastructure.
The FEED study considered all design aspects in detail and prepared a design basis, process description, a 3D model of the site layout, piping and electrical studies and a full set of process flowsheets and process data sheets for the work to be implemented. This concluded with a Hazard Study and a cost estimate of +/- 20% for capital sanction.
