Stopford’s Lancaster office has recently been successful in securing three environmental MSc students from Lancaster University to undertake short industrial placements. The placements have been set up in conjunction with Lancaster Environment Centre and will encompass a five week desk based literature review concluding with the production of a research report which will contribute towards the students final grades. The project titles include:
- A literature review to investigate the opportunity for the development of controlled release technologies for the delivery of naturally occurring plant protection products into agricultural/horticultural systems.
- A literature review into environmental technologies for the treatment of waste.
- A literature review into environmental technologies for the treatment of contaminated water bodies and wastewater.
It is hoped that the reviews will provide the Stopford Environment Team with a sound basis on which to further investigate and develop novel environmental technologies.
