Fatty Acid Plant

Stopford undertook the design of a plant to react fatty acids with a chemical reagent. The front end study carried out had to accommodate for potentially unstable intermediates.  The reactor design required an order of magnitude scale-up from pilot trials. The separation of products required optioneering between batch and continuous separation and the order in which the products would be removed.
