Water Treatment and Steam Raising Capacity Project

Stopford carried out the Project Management and detailed Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and E & I design and specification for additional water treatment and steam raising capacity for the production of cereal at a factory in the northwest.

This included development of the P & IDs, HAZOP, DSEAR risk assessment, and project planning.  Mechanical work included design and stress analysis for new pipework and modifications to existing pipework. Specification of process valves for the new factory superheated steam and boiler gas supply systems was also required. E & I work included instrument specifications and development of the control philosophy for the new systems.
